Retail chain Bristol files for bankruptcy 'with pain in heart'
After struggling with economic issues and the effects of the pandemic, Bristol's Dutch branch has filed for bankruptcy, leading to the closure of all remaining stores and the loss of jobs for approximately 370 employees. Despite efforts to find a buyer, the shoe retailer, who has been in Belgium's hands since 1991, will be permanently leaving the Dutch market after 60 years.
