Female circumcision remains illegal in Gambia: parliament against bill
The proposal to lift the ban on female circumcision in The Gambia was rejected today, stirring up a lot of emotions in the country. Member of Parliament Gibbi Mballow, who has openly spoken out against the practice, is pleased with the decision and now wants to continue fighting for more education and monitoring of the ban.
