High prices at auction Titanic pieces: 1 million euros for gold watch
A golden watch belonging to the richest passenger on the Titanic was sold for over a million euros at an auction in England, along with other items connected to the ship and its passengers. The watch, previously owned by American businessman John Jacob Astor IV, was found on his body after the disaster and passed down through his family before being purchased by an anonymous collector in the 1990s.
