Ahmed Aboutaleb quits this fall after 15 years as mayor of Rotterdam
Rotterdam's first ever mayor of Moroccan descent, Ahmed Aboutaleb, has announced his resignation after serving the city for 15 years. He says it's a well-considered decision and hopes to find a successor before the next municipal elections in 2026.
