Top favorite Leerdam takes European Championship gold in 1,000 meters, silver for Rijpma-De Jong
Jutta Leerdam wins her third European title in the 1000 meters at the European Distances Championships, with a speed that her compatriot Antoinette Rijpma-De Jong could not keep up with. Despite her victory, however, Leerdam is not 100% satisfied with her performance.
