International student is new gold for Denmark


Denmark is taking conflicting measures with limiting foreign students in the Netherlands on the one hand and attracting more foreign students by creating additional English-language training places on the other, but it is necessary for competitiveness and labor shortages, according to Kristian Lauta, dean of the University of Copenhagen. However, the challenge lies in retaining foreign students for a long period of time because of the difficulty of integration and the higher requirements for admission to academic programs in Denmark.
