Evacuations and casualties from forest fires in Turkey, Germany and Greece
Multiple wildfire outbreaks in Europe, including one resulting in a fatality in Turkey, have forced evacuations and caused significant damage to forests and homes, with difficult weather conditions making firefighting efforts more challenging. The extreme heat and drought have also contributed to a number of deaths in other European countries.
