Schoof: one party lacked will, fall of cabinet is unnecessary and irresponsible
In an adjourned council of ministers, the outgoing Schoof cabinet fell after the PVV, one of the coalition parties, withdrew its support for the cabinet. The PVV cabinet ministers offered their resignations, while the other ministers and state secretaries remained outgoing to deal with ongoing issues. Prime Minister Schoof stressed that he still wants to contribute to solving the country's problems, but he regrets the situation and the need to resign.
