Kings Day rape suspect is 27-year-old Italian, detained two weeks longer
27-year-old Italian man who is currently residing in Amsterdam was arrested and charged with the rape of a woman on King's Day, after a video of him lying on top of her between cars on Keizersgracht street went viral on social media. The police urge people not to share the footage, which is punishable, and the Minister of Justice and Security praised the women who tried to intervene, but also expressed disappointment that no men stepped in to stop the assault.
