Starters buy 62 percent of homes in the four major cities
First-time buyers are increasingly successful in buying a home, in part because of more supply of cheaper homes from investors. Still, it is increasingly difficult to buy a home as a starter due to the increasing tightness of the housing market and the need for sufficient financial resources.
