'Improper governance' and 'disastrous,' criticism of Faber asylum plans remains
The National Ombudsman and Children's Ombudsman have issued a warning about the consequences of the government's proposed changes to immigration laws, including splitting asylum seekers into two groups and reducing the duration of temporary residence permits. They fear that these changes will overwhelm the Immigration and Naturalization Service and harm vulnerable children and families. The plans will now be sent to the Dutch Parliament for review.
