Hospital partners with Jehovah's Witnesses to improve care


Amphia Hospital and Jehovah's Witnesses are working closely together to deal with their belief that blood transfusions are not allowed. The hospital has found a new solution using the Cell Saver machine, where blood loss during surgery can be replenished not only with red blood cells, but also with platelets and plasma, which could mean an improvement in care for more patients.
