Prime Minister Schoof takes lead on nitrogen problem: 'Netherlands should not be locked in'
Cabinet-Schoof is going to look for new solutions to prevent the Netherlands from "locking up" because of the nitrogen crisis, after the Council of State ruled that too much nitrogen is being emitted and this is damaging vulnerable natural areas. Prime Minister Schoof is taking the lead himself in finding alternative plans, stressing that this is an extremely complicated task with major consequences and public opposition as possible outcomes.
