Kaag temporary UN Middle East envoy, remains Gaza reconstruction coordinator
Sigrid Kaag, current United Nations Coordinator for Humanitarian Aid and Recovery in Gaza, has been chosen by Secretary-General Guterres to serve as the interim coordinator for the United Nations in the region, as the search for a permanent replacement continues.
