UN: Keeping global warming below 1.5 degree is still possible, but challenge is huge


Experts warn that without significant and immediate action, the world is on track to warm 3.1 degrees Celsius by 2100, far exceeding the goals set by the Paris climate agreement. Countries must drastically reduce their greenhouse gas emissions in order to stay below the crucial 2 or 1.5 degree thresholds and avert catastrophic climate change.
