SPD stays narrowly ahead of AfD in German state of Brandenburg
SPD appears to have become the largest in the state elections in Brandenburg, with the radical-right party AfD right behind them. Despite AfD's hopes of becoming the largest, they call the result a great success and AfD appears to have finished over 6 percentage points higher than in 2019.
