2,000-year-old murals uncovered in excavations of Pompeii

New excavations in Pompeii have revealed a 2000-year-old dining room with well-preserved wall paintings, including scenes from the Trojan War. The walls were intentionally painted black to hide the smoke from oil lamps and create a flickering effect, giving the diners the illusion of movement in the paintings.

Group of Dutch hit by avalanche in Tyrol, three dead
